Hello everyone,

I am about the buy C43 and not sure how to understand if the covers (Burmester) of the speakers are fake, I check the car by VIN and doesn't have 810 option, because I know the music with the black grills is so painful for listening and I try to avoid it, not sure either the 810 option is it just for the 3D effect which means if you don't have it you can have Burmester (silver grill) without this 3D?

Appreciate your help on that

P.S. When do you have Burmester sound menu - only when is with 810 option?
Should I check if it's Burmester silver grill to have on the rear doors two speakers as the pic below?

See if your C43 have surround menu that looks like on this video at 40 second mark.


My C43 have 810 and also have that screen. I owned C300 previously without burmester and surround screen wasn't there.

@stockbmw The car doesn't have 810 as option, is it necessary to have Surround menu like the pic above you shared to be with Burmester, or Burmester can be without this surround menu?

Sorry I wasn't being clear.

My C43 have 810 and have burmester and that surround menu.

C300 didn't have burmester and no surround menu.

Perhaps: if the car I am looking at doesn't have 810 as option - then is no Burmester?

This isn't a fool-proof method since someone could always swap grille covers but when you run your hand across the covers on the doors, do they feel like they're metal???

@Capt Slo - Yes they are metal, but still I can't find answer can w205 can have Burmester without have 810 as option, and if it's Burmester is it necessary on the rear doors to have two instead of one speakers, or it can be a Burmester without 810 option and without the two speakers on the rear doors?
