My two week old 2020 C43 AMG just stopped running today. I'd just left my house, gone maybe two blocks when it lost power. No throttle response and I coasted to the side of the road, where I put it in park and it started as usual. I continued on with no more issues, returning two hours later again as normal. This behavior doesn't inspire confidence I must say. Any ideas?
Full electronics loss too? Did the engine stall?

Sorry, yeah the engine died. At first I didn't think it had because the tach was still showing revs, but it was juspooling down. I'm wondering if it was a glitch in the auto start/stop?

U read any codes?
I haven't had a chance to pull out the Launch to check for codes yet, will try to do it today or tomorrow. Reading the related posts from a few years back there seem to be a few cars that have had this problem, most seem to be cured with a software update and a new battery. Since mine is a 2020, produced in Dec. 2019, the battery now four years old if it hasn't been changed out, and I have found nothing in the records to indicate it has. I'll see what the codes say first but a new battery might be the fix required. I'll also start driving in sport + all the time. I try to always disable the start/stop feature when I crank the car but sometimes forget. ,

Just disable auto start/stop in the Individual manual and put the car in individual whenever you start the engine. If you have a 2020 and optioned drive unit, it is as easy as pressing on the screen on the right knob. Originally Posted by BillinBama
