Hood Insulation Replacement Advice - 2017 C43
Hey all,
Awhile back a rodent apparently made its way into the engine bay of my 2017 C43 and managed to chew a hole in my hood insulation... dead in the center. Its not a big deal but its something I'd like to fix. After doing some digging I've found the part number and the replacements from Mercedes but the price on them is pretty steep ($200ish). I was wondering if anyone had experience replacing theirs with a generic hood insulation from an auto parts store? Generics seem to be around $50 which makes the Mercedes markup seem even more ridiculous.
If its definitely not recommended I'll fork over the $200 but I'm not sure it would make a big deal. Thoughts?
