C43 ZAC MOTORSPORT Cold Air Intakes COMING SOON!
.Interesting to see Modal backflip completely on their existing carbon intake too, must have been a big difference in performance I assume? Are you sure they are finished though, they don't look finished yet? How do they mount to the turbo inlet etc? Regarding the finish on ours, I tried to get the materials looking as OEM as possibly. IRL it is very close to the existing plastics. I added the carbon inserts to finish them off. There will be a LED backlit option also.
A lot of time went into the details here. A way to mount the intake funnel securely to the turbo inlet (we use the Air sensor hole to access the screw
(wiring loom extensions are provided)That clamp is machined from billet aircraft grade aluminium, and anodized black. It snaps onto the funnel so it doesn't fall off when you are installing the funnel onto the turbo inlet. The bolt on the clamp is held in position with an O Ring so it doesn't fall out either (and potentially down the turbo inlet!
The filters are 4 layers of washable cotton, and they seal perfectly thanks again to more billet machined aluminium pieces.
The intake lid was the hardest item to model and get just right, the pics above were the final pre production prototype. Since those photos I slightly revised the inlet on the lid so it follows the arc of the factory inlet piece, and covers the clips there also. The intake lid pivots at the back so when the engine twists from torque on the engine mounts the lid can move while still directing air to the filter.
Regarding the engine cover, With production now started on the intake I am moving onto a engine cover. Again, I don't want a BBQ plate as an engine cover, it has to look OEM, while still being well priced. Proving a challenge!

Thanks again to all those that supported the pre order, from our end it has been a bit of a nightmare getting all the parts perfect and then getting suppliers to stay on target with price and delivery. Appreciate you all!!
Teaser pics.......
They listed their 3d printed intakes about the same time I learned about yours. Looks like, they jumped on the band wagon from your design, but theirs is ****ing ugly.
Performance is obviously the most important function for intakes—but looking good in the engine bay is also important.
I don't want to pop my hood at a car show and have my intakes look like I 3d printed them in my basement.
If Modalworks full carbon fiber intake was way more affordable I would have pulled the trigger on it because they look amazing and I know of a c43 owner that shaved a full second off his draggy time with that intake. But they're $1,775USD which is insane.
If your performance metrics are good and you can design a good-looking cover to pair with your intake design, I'll be more than happy to snag a set.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

My car will be going to the tuner soon and it would take about a month to finish everything before we start working on the software, want to have the intakes before we get there. Are they gonna be shipped soon?
Hey everyone,
First off, we want to thank all of you who have been patiently waiting for our C43/C400 intake to be finalized. We truly appreciate your support and enthusiasm—it’s been a long time coming, but we’re finally there!
We’re excited to announce that final fitment was successfully completed yesterday, and we have now moved into full production. Filters and machined components are ready, and we expect to start shipping orders in approximately two weeks.
This intake has been designed from the ground up to deliver significant performance improvements by reducing the flow path eliminating restrictions, and increasing filter area over the stock system.
YES we will offer an engine cover in the coming months also.
If you’ve been waiting for a true intake upgrade for the M276, now’s the time to get excited!
We’ll keep you posted as we approach shipping, but for now, we just wanted to share the good news and thank you all again for your patience and support.
Dyno testing will also be done end of the month for those interested...
Stay tuned! 🚀💨
it looks very out of place on such well thought design.
is it just for the boyricer looks or does it actually serve a purpose.
if it's the first then for heaven sake get rid off it.
First going for the nice OEM look and going through the desing with good airflow and then that brainfart on top of it.
Still looking for the best OEMish looking part.

as I mentioned still looking for the OEM (ish) look.
I like to retain a "sleeper" kind of look to the car.
and slapping a set of air filters that scream boyricer is just not for me.
Didn't mean to offend, as your design looks very good for airflow and quality craftsmanship.
I just hate it when go fast parts get that unnecessary carbon bits just to tell people its "racing" oriented.
We drive a Mercedes for a reason, for it's class and style. It's not a Honda or Subaru.
If the part looks plain, put company logo on it, or Mecedes star, or service info sticker or something meaningful.
Just my 2C
and the pre order hasn't been 1 year. Just a year to develop. Actually more than that, but hey.. thanks for the support guys!
