has anyone removed drive to the front axle?
I've had a look at a few 4matic diagrams but I have not found one specific to the C43. The easiest way i see is getting a used center differential and locking it then remove the transfer gear to the front prop shaft.
The transfer case is at thr back of the gearbox just before the rear prop shaft. If i'm not mistaken it shared the same fluid from the main gearbox. So removing the transfer case does not require the whole transmission to be removed.
why would I want to do this? Well just for the fun of having a RWD AMG. by using a used transfer case for the mod, then it can be swapped when needed (although not as simple as pushing a switch)
Any thoughts? Anyone with a used transfer case to sell?
this shows a 722.9 transfer case.. i am assuming the 725 transmission transfer case is similar if not the exact same.
