Oil question

This might sound like a dumb question. I did an oil change. 2019 C43. I check the oil on the dip stick. Appears to be full. I wipe the dip stick off like 5 times putting it in and out. Everytime there is oil at the full mark. Let the car sit for a day. Reads full. Let it sit for like 2 or 3 days pull the dip stick out and it looks like nothing on it. Put it back in and pull it out. Oil is up to the full mark.
What gives. I think I am losing my mind. Something is goofy. Anyone else notice this?

First pull to wipe, second pull to read.

It breaks an air lock allowing oil to fill the dipstick tube which is why you see dry on first look.

As mentioned.

OP, how much oil did you drain and how much you fresh oil you put, I usually just put back around the amount I drain when I do my oil changes.

The proper way to measure the engine oil level (at least according to the operator's manual) is to have the vehicle at operating temperature then turn off for around 5 minutes, pull and wipe then reinsert then pull it out again and check.
