That is an easy solution, if you have DISTRONIC it likely uses the rear brakes, if you lose traction, it likes to use the rear brakes to bring the vehicle back in control.
You should use ESC Sport instead or you can turn it off altogether, I did the latter and the ESC is not really fully off even if turned completely off, as long as you know what you are doing and not driving like a maniac or driving in the rain, that is enough to keep the car stable. If you are not comfortable with off then stick with sport. It should help conserve the rear brakes.
I owe you thanks! I just started using ESP Sport for the first time in 3 1/2 years. I cant believe how much peppier responsive and fast it drives. Incredible so outside of saving rear brakes it’s so much more fun to drive. I will turn it off in rainy weather for better traction but otherwise keeping it on. THANK YOU. ONLY TOOK ME 4 YEARS. LOL

Here is a my post on all the links of helpful post by other forum members with this unplugging journey I went on so you can be prepared and know what to expect when you do decide to do it: https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...ml#post8979570
Depending on how comfortable you are, you could also turn off ESC altogether. to do that,. you proceed to press the button, instead of simply pressing it once which switches to ESC sport, you press and hold and it should say off.

so much I apparently don’t know. I will try that as well. TY👍🏻
I have a 2021 c43 wagon which I absolutely love (I also had a 2019 c43 wagon). Currently has 45,000 km. It’s been in the shop for 5 major repairs, starting at 10k km! First a single spark plug, then all of them, then coil, then all coils, then fuel injectors, the fuel rails. All covered under warranty. It’s so sad because I absolutely LOVE this car and want to buy out the lease. I spent 2 weeks driving bmw m3/4, Porsche macan GTS and 718, etc and nothing feels or sounds like my wagon (in my opinion) to the mechanics out there, is it a terrible idea to buy this car (with Mercedes extended warranty purchased also)? Is I that just irresponsible?

I realize there will be many differing opinions whether to keep it or not.
I drive it about 5K miles per year.
I appreciate your opinions and guidance.

In my humble opinion, spark plugs and ignition coils would not be considered “major repairs”, as they would be considered wear items. (:
Your fuel injectors and rail, however… doesn’t seem common!

I also have a 2021 C43 Wagon, 46,000km and, touch wood, have not had any major issues. I purchased the extended warranty when we bought it, so I'm covered for another couple years. I plan on keeping this car for at least another 5yrs.
I purchased mine outright, no lease, but if I had leased, I think I would buy out the lease with the extended warranty. It's been a great car, I've gotten 7.1 litres/100km on highway trips, it's a pleasure to drive, and in my case, the C43 V6 doesn't work all that hard, so I'm hoping it will last a long time. ( I hope I haven't jinxed myself!)
