Display behind steering wheel intermittently not functioning
Hey brains trust, new member here 
After owning W212 E350 for years we have upgraded to 2017 C43 coupe and have had it for a little over a week now. The car was one owner, no accidents in remarkable condition 69K on the odometer. Yesterday, when i started the car as normal the multi-function display that sits between the speedo and the tachometer didn’t lite up like normal when the car started and remained off for half the day . Along with this the heads up display and fuel and temperature gauges weren’t lite up either. Other wise the car functioned as normal. All of a sudden it spontaneously resolved itself…. Today i have the same thing except now the display comes on when starting then, turns off frustratingly. I feel there’s a gremlin in the system.
Has anyone heard of this issue before? I’ve searched the forums and couldn’t find anything similar only stuff relating to the main big media screen.
Any heap or advice would be greatly appreciated.
