2016 C450 Startup Rattle
I have a C450 AMG (16) 125000 miles that just developed a startup rattle on the drivers side. Lasts about 2-3 seconds until pressure builds. It sounds like i may need to replace the timing chain tensioners and install check valves. I have a few questions and hoping someone can help.
My engine number is 276823 30 324304, does this fall within the TSB to replace the tensioners and valves? (would this engine have the stepped or non-stepped valves?)
I have the cam cover off and was about to manually crank the timing to 40 ATC but cannot access the crank bolt without removing the inner cooler. Is it necessary to set the timing prior to removing the tensioner? Removing the inner-cooler looks like a pain.
Any other advice to help complete this job?

I have not done a timing tensioner and oil check valve yet on this engine, but i would think you dont need to move the chains when doing it. mark the gear and chain and R&R each part without turning the motor.
Someone should be able to post the WIS for this if its not already in the forum.
