Question C450 Rear Rattle

I've been reading through posts and it seems a number of these have had a lot of issues with rattles. Knock on wood I haven't had a ton (aside from possibles caused by the run-flats I plan to swap out).

The one I've had recently is in the rear. It sounds like it might be coming from the rear deck behind the seats. I've found three possible causes in early posts:

1. LED light for 3rd brake light
2. Possible loose rear seat latches
3. Cable in the trunk going near the lid hinges? I think it was the release cable but can't recall 100% at the moment.

Has anyone found anything else to cause any in that area?

I'm hoping most of the other dash, etc. were remedied by previous owners (or it's just luckier). The other main one I have is self-inflicted: a phone holder in the cup holder. I do occasionally get minor ones from the sunglass holder area but it seems to be a loose emergency button cover.

The sunroof also can rattle and relatively common on the W205.

Check the top isofix covers as well.

Mine had two plastic clips in the headliner near the back sunroof cutout that had unglued themselves. Removed them, everything has been fine for 3 years. (They look like yellowish plastic squares)

It's at the dealership for a few aftermarket warranty fixes (leaking front differential, leaking engine mount, torn transmission mount). I asked them to take a look at the rattle in case it could be added. It wasn't added (no surprise), but they did ID the issue being the headliner clips decaying and coming loose. So I'll probably do the same thing for now. $3,300 to fix the full headliner. >.< Thanks!

Any reason why your front diff is leaking and how you noticed it?
