Has Anyone Removed this Exterior Trim Panel?

Take a look at the pic.
Car is getting older and has spent most of its life parked in the sun. The plastic panel aft of the pano roof has become discolored. I intend to either wrap it or replace it. Has anybody removed this before? Can I just pry it off with a trim tool or do I need to perform major dissembly of the interior roof to access any mounting hardware?
Any experience or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You mean the panel just behind the windshield? I have no idea, but recently someone said in a different conversation that is part of the panoramic roof. Maybe easier, cheaper to have paint shop redo?

IIRC, there was a lengthy discussion about this panel. Try searching both C63 and C43 sections.

Yeah I cross posted here because it's pretty dead over on the w205 AMG sub forum.
This section seems much more active.

Have not lifted it, but mine is in similar shape to your panel. I'm thinking of getting mine repainted by Springer Body and Paint - out in North Plains. I see you are local to Portland too OP. Springer has done some work for me with excellent results. There's also PDR Solutions (Paint), and Highline Customs (Vinyl Wrap) both located behind Sunset High School.

I had this panel replaced under warranty on my wife's car about ~5 years ago. At the time the car was only 5 years old, but Hawaii sun had done quite a number on it. The replacement panel has held up quite well (plus we no longer live in Hawaii).

If memory serves the panel is held down entirely with bonding agent, no hardware.

I'm unaware of the "correct" method of removal

That piece would be super easy to wrap it yourself in a gloss black vinyl and would blend right into the pano roof so you/anybody else probably wouldn't notice it.
