Hey guys, posting here as the E43 section doesn’t have much traffic and this applies to the C43’s as well. I wanted to do an intake but wasn’t a huge fan of the rear mount style being right above the turbos. The enclosed systems were nice (but costly) and didn’t do much to help with intake track length and still having the air path have to turn a 180. I thought that could be shortened up quite a bit. So anyways, I had some time over the weekend so I thought I’d play around with some stuff I had laying around. Came up with an arrangement I liked and put a few miles on it. Intake is def louder and now I have some light turbo sounds. Figured I’d share with the group for fun.
They do have a nice setup. I liked the Modal Carbon one, though it was long tract, but couldn’t justify $2k in my budget. They (Modal) also have a front mount scoop style with panel filters that was interesting. For what I have into to, and being able to use some stuff I had around already, I’m satisfied with the cost vs outcome.

Looks good! I couldn't fit the ZAC intake on my S450 Coupe and ended up with BMC filters, but this gives me some ideas. Would you mind dropping the list of parts you used to create this?
P.S. check your engine mounts - the engine seems to be sitting too low (the rubber snout moving air to the ECU is bent downwards).
Reach out to logos engineering, their filters and elbows are made for this as opposed to filters with the cap on it facing forward, I love your build stage 3! looks like its coming along.
