Only $5,500...
I just got this e-mail from BMW:
I would love to do it, but for that much, I think I'll wait 'till my dealer gets their demo...

That's nice. I will buy a 1500 ticket from SF to Germany, then pay 5500 just to ride in something which I will see in my local dealer? OK, granted I can't drive the same speeds in the amazingly wide streets of SF, but it's as ludicrous as the AMG Challenge unless they either have the lovely Sabine as my instructor or perhaps Nick Heidfeld.
I will rather take this ride: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE9l7ln-FTI

MBWorld Fanatic!
It doesn't include airfare? That seems a little bit steep then.
Otherwise, if it includes instruction (which it seems like it does), it's worth it and driving the car (taking the car to the limits on their insurance) and shredding tires for 3 days, it's worth it. Getting the chance to do it on the Nurburgring makes it all the more enticing.
Just one problem, what happens if I don't like it as much as the E46 M3? Then I'll be disappointed and upset for three days.
I wonder if there's an age limitation. If I'm of legal age, I'd consider going.
I like flying to Munich; they have a "First-Class Terminal" an entirely autonomous terminal for First-Class Lufthansa passengers. That's one worth using the miles to upgrade for.
