maybe you heard about a TT 63 motor?

I spoke with the guys at Renntech and they said that boosting the 63 motor was a very bad idea because that bottom end was far too fragile. To boost a motor that is capable of 550hp with headers and tuning would be AWESOME, haha. But at some point more hp is not going to make the car faster. You still have to be able to put it to the ground.

I think the 63 has good power...but the rumers of the M5 being TT'd and the new RS6 being a TT v10 got be thinking what MB was going to do to keep up with them?......................i can't see them coming out with a new engine, the 63 just came out!

MB still has the 65 motor. Also, keep in mind that the RS6 and M5 are not really apples to apples with a C class. An E65 would be a hell of a car!

Right, you still gotta factor in that AMG uses 2 motors....currently the 63 (which is in most of their cars) and the 65. 1) the M5 is in the same class as the E63 but they have a diffrent engine for the M3. Where as AMG uses the same motor for the E and the C....so if they wana keep up and TT the 63 they would do the same to the C which would be.... 2) I highly doubt that there will ever be a E65...if there was that would be pretty cool, and it would be there with the RS6 and the TT M5....lastly 3) I don't think there is room in the engine bay of the E for a 65 motor, unless they do it in the up-coming model....and a V12 TT in a E is just

If Brabus could cram an S600 engine into a C-class, then most likely there's enough room in the E class engine bay to receive the 65 motor. No ?
I guess we'll have to wait a couple of years to see what AMG comes up with for the new E, I read somewhere that the current 63 engine was just a stepping stone.

My sources have informed me that AMG has been testing a new 7.1 V12 biturbo engine. Oh, and the new E W212 AMG will probably have a 5.5 V8 biturbo engine.

I was going to say the same thing... Brabus Bullit. V12 TT in a 08 C class. They can definitely fit the engine in the E if they wanted to.

Guys the power these sedans make is unbelievable already do we really need a TT setup for any new 6.3 engine? You guys haven't even gotten a chance to try cars like the upcoming C63. Suspension will need upgrades to cars that have huge added horse power or it will be a waste of time. I seen stock E55 spinning way to much already. Each car AMG touches I bet the suspension is just good enough for that and even the factory equipped mighty E55 can't keep the wheels from spinning in its current configuration. Be happy with what you got or you will dump a ton of money.

See i heard a TT V8...and i firgured it would be the 6.3 since they already have it out, but guess they're going back to the 5.5. As long as the 5.5 TT can smoke the TT M5 and RS6 i will be

Adam, are you saying that they will be using the old 5.5 liter engine that was from the E55...or will it be based off of the 550 series cars, like how AMG supercharged the E500 engines, the E550 will get twin turbos?

And its about time we see a new V12TT...that'll be the monster of the whole segment right there

Yes, the 550 engines will get the twin turbos.

The 7.1 L V12 TT engine is rumored to be pushing 700 hp to the crank.

AMG 55 = 5.4 L V8 s/c - 517 hp
600 = 5.5 L V12 TT- 510 hp
550 = 5.5 L V8 n/a - 382 hp

And now AMG is releasing yet another 5.5 L with TT ? I don't get it.

Launch control is a DSG feature. If the C63 picks up DSG next year then it could feature launch control. Untill then, I guess you'll just have to endure that regular old 0-60 in 3.9s auto.

No launch control and it still pulls 0-60 in 3.9? How does it hook up? lol

I'm an Audi fan, but the C63 is a far superior to the Audi S5, unless you hate 4-doors. The rumored RS5 will help redress the balance.
