Maximum Tire Size ?

I guess 19's will not be an option in USA. So I will throw after market wheels on.
Any one know if we can go wider than the c32 and c55 maximums.
Rear Fitment: 19x9.5 265/30-19
Front Fitment: 19x8.5 235/35-19
When I got bigger wheels and tires the grip was 10 fold. With the new power of the c63 I want to go as wide as possible in the rear.
Any Euro specs of aftermarket sizes that have been fitted ?
I would like to fit a 285/30-19 rear at least. I figure with those flared fenders we could get some monsters on there.

why do you say 19's won't be an option? They have been listed as such. I would go on the new c forum and see what people are fitting there. If they're bigger than the current 235/265 you'll bet they'll be on the c63 if not more.

report vary as the 19' being available in usa. and isnt the row fitment a 255/30??? that's pretty skinny tires for us roads...don't blame benz for not wanting for offer. but i could be wrong.

if stock is 255 or even 265 - a 285/30 may be too tall to match the 235/35 front OD. but agree- looks like plenty of room for wide rubber. much better selection in 18" tires....ie 295/30.

but, you have plenty of time no? when are you taking delivery?

latest Road & Track states no 19s coming the USA. all reviews i read that states 19s as an option are from European magazines.

ah well. I guess it's not too big of a deal considering they're basically the same width as the 18's.

8" up front

and 9" rears

on the stock 18's.

8.5 and 9.5 rears should not be a problem, as long as the off set is correct and we can clear those brakes.

255-40/275-35 would be the nice combo.

research

I will keep looking for articles or posts. I figure with the wider fenders we could go with a wider tire than the 08 regular c class could. I just want as much rubber on the thing as possible.
