M3 weighs in at 1695Kg including 75Kg driver and a full tank, that's 3 737lbs for you lot.

Aparently the limiting factor in the acceleration tests is neither grip, tires or setup, the car pulls a maximum 0.7g acceleration, which is pretty sharp for a 50/50 split RWD car. No, the limiting factor is the transmission, more to the point, it's ratios, particularly between 2nd and 3rd.

very interesting....

I'm concerned why the M3 was a low 13 second car?

I'll wait for American soil testing..

as mentioned before Euro cars are tuned a bit differently

Sounds like weight and gearing is the issue. Gears can be changed. Weight, well, not as easily. They might need the CSL to come out sooner than later.

Um, only if you're racing for a 1/4 mile in a straight line. Otherwise, buh-bye. (I know you're just joking around)

Hmmm.....

....to me, this is a pretty slow run for a car with 420 hp and 37xx weight. Should be in the 12's for sure, I'd think in the 12.6 to 12.8 range...trap of 178 km/h (111 mph) is a few mph lower than I'd expect as well. I'd figure more like 113 mph with that weight and horsepower.

Time will tell....but I bet it'll get better results than this elsewhere.
