Iv got a couple questions.
Do you think it will be this easy to get into this rwhp range with the c63?
How reliable is the 63 engine at this power lever? also how reliable is the trannsmission at this power lever?
Do you have any 1/4 mile times from this car? Id really like to know what kind of trap speeds you would see with this kind of power.
Thanks, Doug

2. Reliability - there should be no problems with the motor or trans
3. Trap & 1/4 mile - not yet, but it is coming.
thanks

Yes, all 63 engines are the same mechanically (different intakes), but the varying HP figures are controlled/limited via electronics...And no the C63 does not make 500 HP like the BS it only makes 450 to the best of my knowledge.

Weather permitting I am going to Route 66 Raceway this Saturday the 19th for some 1/4 mile testing. I will post time slips and video. I will be running with the Dymag wheels and 305 DOTR Corsas......since I don't have any drag wheels and tires yet? But they are coming....I hope!

Sorry for the delay guys and gals.
Yes, we will have them on the web site and can take orders for them now. Same process as your e46. Funny how many people do that now. Seemed simple to us but nobody had done it - now it seems there are 20+ vendors selling those! lol
Thanks
Brad

Look in netstar there are unsold cars all over the place. Its not the worlds most popular car and many have been returned to the dealership wit 1500 miles and traded for a less sporty car. Local store just took back one and a store 1 hr away just did the same thing.

Black Series
IN the USA, there's 116 and counting of CLK current Black Series. Rare, no, costly, yes. Just check autotrader.com

116 is pretty rare for a car in the US.
There were 125 reported M3 LTW's in 95, and now one just sold for more then list. There are a very limited number around 10 years later.
Even if it goes to 300 cars, that is still VERY limited for a US car, don't you think?
thanks
brad

Just ECU, you can expect very little on the dyno. You will see a gain on the street as the throttle maps are changed so the car will ramp into throttle faster, making the car accel faster when you do before and after tests at the same throttle position.
However, ECU alone is not a dyno mod, but a street gaining mod.
thanks

So from what I am able to gather the main power gaining parts for all of the 63 series even the C class is the long tube headers and the x-pipe section. All exhaust...and a few drop in air filters....those are some of the prettiest headers I have ever seen......great work guys.

Thank you very much. They are going to be even prettier. That was the first set. We are not set-up for manufacturing.
Yes, you are partially right. It is the exhaust by a large part. However, the software is a critical part of the package.
Also, the drop-in filters are not right. We tested the leading 63-series fitlers and they lost power. The mods we do are physical modifications to the airbox.
thanks

RHD cars
headers on left hand drive and right hand drive cars are different correct?
family in hk is getting the sl63 and im interested in getting mods for it especially after seeing the power gains you guys achieved with the long tube headers... but since the car is going to be right hand drive, there is no way we can make these fit right?

but i am assuming the other components will be the same? i.e. the airbox mods, the x pipe, exhaust, etc?

You are too kind, thanks!
Yes, all the other mods should be perfect.
BTW, we had an SL63 test car for 2 days - nice transmission!
thanks

Brad,
what are the main differences between right hand drive and left hand drive headers?
my family is finalizing on the order for the SL63 in Hong Kong and after reading all the posts about the 63 engines getting all the power from headers, exhaust, air filters/airbox, and ecu i cant stop thinking about getting these mods for the car. however the fact that the car is going to be right hand drive is really driving me crazy because i know the headers wont fit!

Some updates.
Exhaust:
- We did add our high performance resonators, the rasp and harshness is gone. it sounds amazing!
Dyno:
- We have finished the first night/round of tuning. Pretty happy with the results so far! +56 RWHP and +47 RWT for the header, exhaust and software (of course done with our tuning partner Powerchip)!
Here is a quick vid on the rollers:
Aero:
We have completed the front and the rear bits (with big thanks to our aero partner Vorsteiner who came through once again by accomplishing the impossible with far less time then reasonable) - we could make this for C-class with enough demand also:

The Carbon weave on the front and rear matches OE almost perfect. These are pre-clear coat, which is happening now. It is really hard to see the CF on the rear due to the lighting, but it is full CF.
More to come........
Thanks
