I think they decided to put a 6speed dcm-m transmission instead of 7speed

That would be a bad idea. Hell Lexus has an 8-gear tranny now.

I checked again, the websays says it was a mistake and it is edited. It will be 7 speed M-DCT and will be 0.2 sec quicker than manual.

Anyone else find this as humorous as I did?

That's like saying "believe it or not, but a friend of mine sold his Honda Civic for a Mercedes CLS550 b/c he hated the inferior quality of the Civic's interior"

I'd trade in a E92 for a car that's $80-90k more also. No brainer if I could.

Let's also not forget that AMG and ///M use better quality materials than they do in the regular C-class and 3-series. Hell, my interior feels like absolute crap compared to my pops E-class!

the M3 sedan would probally still do better than the c63 on a track. if i were to really think about it, I never take a car to a track. i mean it may be a overall better performer, but straight line matters more in real world. at least to me it does.
If I was going to choose btwn m3 sedan of c63, i'd definitely go for c63
If I were to choose btwn M3 coupe of c63, M3 all the way
C interior not great, but beats the hell out of the inside of a 3 series.
Both cars are great values, so you really cant go wrong with either one

My little guess is the W204 designer was not going for a 'luxury' design but a more 'cyber' looking interior like the Lexus. Yes, not many affordable cars in the world can make a interior as grand as the E-Class though.
Poor interior quality is really something a loyal BMW fan are always forced to compromise.

This is a very humorous story except it is true. I was helping my friend to sell his 335i E92 and also babysitted him to test drive the GT. He is getting his GT in March/April, or he can choose to sell his GT quota for US$20K profit.
A GT here is ~$200K vs a ~80K 335i E92. It is also funny to know he was coming from a Peguoet 206 to a 335i not that long ago and he is still keeping the 206 for daily driver vs his new GT for weekends.

The C63 AMG performance package here contains: AMG high performance composite front brake system. AMAG performance suspension, AMG limited- Slip differential. AMG performance steering wheel. This costs extra $13K when added tax. Wonder anyone can show a photo of the AMG performance steering wheel?

I know everyone says the dash looks too 'plastic'.
( Guess I can find a Carbon Fibre replacement of the really plastic looking steering wheel cover )
I will skip aluminium trims and take wood trims for sure.

I won't kiss the C63 interior, but I don't hate it like many do about the E90.

Bmw and Mb have nothing on Audi interiors thought. And with the upcoming 450hp RS5 I wouldn't be surprised that it'll stack up a hell of a lot better with the competition.

I think most companies get the instrument cluster right. the audis is extra nice, but then again the c class isnt bad either. IT does have carbon fiber, which alone in my books wins when it comes to trim. However, that center panel is horrible looking. I think the C's is much better looking. I cant really tell which one is worse? the 3 or the audis?

The interior of the C63 is far better IMO than audi or the E90/E92. I've drove the new 328i (a loaner) while my E46 was on the shop being serviced, and I hate the instrumental panel and interior set up of the 328i (E90). To be honest, I like the old interior set up of the E46 than new E90/E92. And of course, my MB (W211) is far best elegant interior of them all.
