seats are a problem

Stopped by my dealer today to check out their first C63. Loved everything about the car (best exhaust note I have heard) except the seats. I was sitting on the seats instead of in them. No part of my back was touching the seat back due to side bolsters being too narrow. I had them adjusted to the maximum width. I am 5' 11" and weigh 225. Wear a 48 to 50 inch coat and a 38 pant. This is a definite deal breaker for me. I was extremely uncomfortable within 5 minutes. If you are above average size I highly recommend you test the seats before ordering the car.

Oddly enough this review makes me more excited about the seats. I am 5'10" and weigh 150lbs so the seat should hold me very nicely. I love side hugging bolsters.

Even at 6 feet , medium frame and 182 lbs , the seats can be very tight. I sat in a CLK63 black and even at the widest setting the seats were very tight at the shoulders

I am 5-10 and 175lb and I thought they were great. I could see how they could be a little tight for someone over 200lb depending on your build.

20+ to list......
I'm 6 feet weight in 205lbs which I fitted in nicely and I think the seats are the best seats ever from AMG.

Well at least they didn't do like Mitsubishi does for the Evo. They give the US larger Recaros cause we are fatter people. JP and UK get the smaller seats. Got to love the fast food.

What is your definition of fat? My body fat is 23%. That may not be ideal but it is far from fat. I have worked out for years and have an athletic build.

Not to be mean but... If you're 5' 11 and have a 38 waste you're fat, and not chubby unless somehow your built wide or something. I'm 6' 185 and have a 31/32" waste, lift fairly heavy weights and run, and I NEVER have a problem fitting in any seats even in racecars which are insanely small. Height is usually never the issue nor is back or I would have one- It's your girth- hehe

My chest measures 49 inches and my waist 38. That equates to an 11 inch spread. 12 is considered ideal. The issue is the width of my shoulders not my waist.

I'm disappointed with the arm rest, my elbow doesn't sit right on it - its right on the edge where it curves inward - weird shape. What's up with that?

Basically the seat is a problem if you are overweight. Thanks for telling us the obvious.

I am no expert to say what is fat, all I know is it looks so uncool when a pork belly gets out of this car.
