C63 owners may want to see the clear bumper markers too.

I just got my bumper markers today. I agreed to install them and send photos to the seller. I have the first set. I am not sure when more will be available. I am sure he'll let me know. I actually got them two weeks before planned. I am not even sure if I am supposed to show them yet, so the photos I sent him are not included in this thread. I wanted to wait until I installed my black grille, but I got too excited . Here are the instructions as I did the install. The pictures are self explanitory:

Pop out the three center push pins (they look like nail heads) by pulling the center pin with your finger nail. They come out easily. Then pull the outer rings which are also a pins:

After that, you'll be able to pull out the fender liner. Make sure you protect the paint on the fender lip. Once the liner is pulled back, you will see a tab on the upprt portion of the lamp unit. It's very easy to spot. Twist the bulb and remove it. Install the silver coated bulb and clean off the dirt that gathered around the lense:

The lese comes with the rear housing, but I left the OE unit in place:

Install the lense into the housing (which is behind the bumper) and you're done. It's very easy. It took about 10 minutes per side because I was being very cautious:

I have two really good pics. I will post them after I make sure the seller doesn't mind. I am not sure what the protocall is for that sort of thing. You'll see them in his ad.

As you can see, this mod totally cleans up the look of the car. I really like these lenses.

I hope this DIY is helpful. Enjoy.

They're constantly running and they have nothing to do with turn signal.

However, the lights MUST have an orange reflector at the front corners.
This is a FEDERAL LAW. Simply putting in an orange bulb DOES NOT make it legal. If you modify a DOT corner light by taking the orange reflector out, it is NO LONGER DOT legal.

Btw, just so I don't have to put my flamesuit on, I do have clear sidemarkers + PIAA super white bulbs.

Derspeed: Are the surrounds to the light white (rubber I guess) or clear? My C63 will be pewter and I think the lights you show would look great if the surround is clear but not if it is white. I think chrome would look fine too.

I actually prefer these to the painted over option. IMO it's nicer to enhance vs try to hide the US markers. Many thanks for any help you can provide.

There are no surrounds. The white "border" is the bucket behind the lense. It is exactly like the OE item. Look at your ambers. Same thing. The clear lense just lets it show through a little more. It looks more like part of the lense in person. To me, the point of the clear lense is to let your eye pass it over and not really notice it. If you look my whole car, the last thing you notice is a clear lense. When the amber lense is there, it draws your eye to it immediately. The amber looks out of place. Anyway, there will be smoked available too. I guess they will be ready by late May or early June. My car is used in the seller's ad, that's why I got them so early and for nearly nothing.

I agree with you, painting them doesn't seem right. I almost bought a whole new bumper to remove them completely, but the cost was about 22 times more than what I paid for the lenses. This will do for now.

Thanks! The smoked sound really good, especially with pewter.

Here is a smoked one that I bought on ebay.
Any other updates to the installation instructions or tricks that I should be aware of before attempting to install these on my brand new Palladium Silver C63?
