MY2009 C63 Palladium Silver/Sahara Beige + COMAND Nav + Premium + 030 Performance Pkgs + iPod Intergation Kit /// Sept 08 Delivery

Hey Barry just wondering if you were one of the 1st ones on the list for one of the 09's and if so, are you of the belief that the 09's wont be available till then? By the time their built & delivered? My feeling is, that is a probable scenario. I know some dealers are promising earlier delivery but I'm not sure I trust them. I surely can't wait till then for delivery. That's just my situation. But I am curious what your take is on this?

FYI, my '09 is being built in the second decile of June and will be delivered mid to end of July. I think this is as early as it gets for an '09. I did order a while back. Hope this info is useful

Mine is also being built 2nd decade (08/06-2) of June with end of July early August delivery. Delivery is dependent on shipping and which boat it will sail on.

Who are you? This is Peter Blach and I just picked up an IS-F. I plan to take it over to MTI to dyno the car and hope for 340 rwhp. I would LOVE to run you in the C63 and video tape it...although I'm SURE the C63 will pull the IS-F (as it should with more power) it would make for a fun video!

Hit me up on email at pblach@att.net

Thanks!
Peter

Thank you for posting these great photos! The white is really stunning. We've been thinking about ordering one... and now I definitely want to go with white.

Hi Vadim,

I'll pull the charcoal filters and dyno with just the factory air filters in place and list my results. Are you able to have the C63 PCM modded yet?
Yes, I can programm C63s DMEs.

Dumb question but why does the C63 have 60 less HP than the E63 if they are both 6.3L. Is the compression different? Throttle body? Intake? Exhaust? Is it all in the ECU?

I just took a ride in my friends black 08 C63 and it felt damn fast - just like my E55 when it was stock but it felt a hell lot more high strung and rigid and the seats were insane. Felt like your lats were getting squeezed. There is no chance you are going to move around.

Overall it looked much nicer - both the interior and exterior than my E55. Drool. I guess that's what happens after half a decade.

Quote: the 6.2l engines absolutely benefit from an extended break-in period.I noticed a marked difference once the car hit 5000mi compared to when I first got it.Everyone has their own theory as to which break-in procedure works best.
I have my own,and as with all my new engines I dumped the oil&filter at 800miles.Seemed to have worked as my car clearly traps 2-3mph higher then other 63's at the track on the same day
Yo oldgixxer--how did you break-in your engine? Can you give more details (how hard you were on the throttle, how high you let the RPMs go, and how long you followed this procedure). Thx.

I just can't figure out on the front spoiler why they didn't place the black mesh over on the sides yet they clearly left the cut out lines for it? Hmmm?
