Chrome or Black??
I'm thinking about doing a slight chrome delete when I'm ready to tuck the car away for winter.
Which look do you guys prefer?
Stock looks great, but some black touches look nice also.
I was going to use vinyl wrap.
I'm stuck between gloss black, or a glossy carbon fiber (vinyl)
My c63 is Magenite Black Metallic which makes my decision so much more difficult. If it were any other color it would've been dechromed the day I got it haha.
That reflection on your hood makes it look like you have a ram air scoop or something.
Looks badass lol.
Another grill look that I have had in the past and like is to black the bars, but leave
the surround and the star. That looks sharp as well.

How'd I know you'd be the first to respond haha.
CF was my last choice. Would you agree that the black touches looks better than just all chrome?
Funny that you suggested that, when playing around I also tried leaving the chrome surrounding the star but didn't like it as much as the "507 look"
Well, Im either here or Im not. By that I mean I am streaky. Im either lurking and on my computer or gone for days and weeks. You caught me on a 'lurk day' lol. And as you prolly know this is a subject I have done some wrestling with myself.
I do agree. Some black does look better than all chrome, and some chrome does look better than all black, so its just a matter of figuring the balance, which is what I am toying with. Ill find you a pic of when I had the floating star on my black 09, altho even that is slightly different as those grills had two bars, but you'll get the idea.

Yeah, I'm the same way, haha I could be on everyday, or away for a month.
Here's a quick 5 second edit I did haha. It looks good if you don't zoom in haha. I do like this look, I just think there's still too much chrome to really make a difference. Thanks for the help! Just trying to get some ideas
That looks good. And you don't see it everyday, which I like. But you're right, it doesnt edit out much chrome, tho I think its a matter of how the shape of the front end can look different either way, and with that in consideration I would give the nod to blacking out the bar.

Thoughts???
I know it's a PFL car but I'm partial to the 507 style grille
