1. Wish it had a dead pedal. Seats are great for stability but it would be nice to have something for the left foot to push on around a hard turn.
2. numbered buttons are on the right side of the center column. Wish the controls (disc, radio, tele, etc) were on the right and the numbers were closer to the driver to change stations, etc.. Granted there are many way to to change the station but personally I would like the button in an easier to reach location vs.. changing the dash controls or using the dial.
3. ESP form a dig almost broke my neck at hard launch. It detected spin and threw me forward to control the car. then it took off again and slapped me against the seat. ESP Sport or off at all times for me...!
4. Hard left hairpin turn was met with both under and over steer. Started to loose the front a bit and after pedaling and getting back into the throttle the rear came right around. Wish I could tell you how fast I was going but it was hard since I had to watch the wall!!!! Still very impressed and how much those little tires gripped the road. WOW...
5. Manual mode has much faster shifts and really changes the behavior of the transmission. Seems like the blip on the downshift is more pronounced too.
6. The AMG owners forum picked up my VIN as a CLK55...???/ Insurance had a thought time locating this model too. Maybe because its new..? Anyone else have this problem?
Regarding the VIN.... are you sure you typed it in correctly? I think they only require the last few digits. You can always go into your profile and check what numbers are on there. If you've typed the numbers in 100% correctly, then I'd e-mail AMG Chief Information Editor on the AMG forum and ask him about the inconsistency.
