When can I expect my car with a July 1, 2008 build date?
Hi everyone,
New guy here. Well, I've finally pulled the trigger. Never had a MBZ before, so this baby AMG will be my first. It really looks like quite the car, for reasons discussed already by many. I really like the idea of a 6.2 motor in a nice compact sized car. Oh and the seats with the adjustable side bolsters are glorious - perfect seats for the track short of a racing shell. I ordered a 09 with the following:
Steel Grey exterior
739 Aluminum Trim
057 iPod Integration Kit
P02 Premium II package
030 AMG PP (US version)
318 Leather package, black leather
Dealer tells me my build date is July 1, 2008. When can I expect the car?
I'll use the car as a daily driver. I don't plan to mod it, but in the past I've never stuck to that plan. From everything I've read, the car seems very bit the match for it's natural competitors: the RS4, M3, and IS-F. I think the 4 sec time difference at Reno-Fernley between the M3 and the C63 relates to the C63 being undertired. I'm looking a bigger rims, maybe some CCW C10s or some HRE C93s. THAT'S IT! ! (Those CF intakes sure are pretty : )
It will go to the track for untimed events. Ideas about track pads anyone? I'm a track nut here in Northern California. Any other refugees here from RL or AW?

yeah, about 30 days to build and then hopefully it doesn't have to sit at the port in Germany for too long before it gets put on the boat. My car sat for 2 weeks at the port and then took 10 days to make the trip across the Atlantic.
Mine went in early April, got it May 20
