What do you guys think?

Look at this post:

21MPG?! Wow.

The only numbers I've seen from a C63 so far were in the low teens. Or is C63's price pretty much puts it in the "I paid $70k for a car, I'm not gonna worry how much a gallon of premium is" category?

Curious what people think.

You want big torque numbers at low rpm's, big HP at low rpms and big cubic inches, you have to suffer a little more at the pumps than the smaller kids. GO BIG or GO HOME......sounds like something from the sixties at the diner parking lot.

I understand.

I don't know much about these things but it seems weird that an M3 should have a gas mileage that is 1.5-2x better than a C63 but a C63 is not 1.5-2x faster than an M3.

Cars are mysterious. I looked at a Dodge Challenger SRT8 specs and it had a v8 engine, with some insane bhp numbers yet was still slower than a 335i 0-60. Strange.

um, the low end torque makes this car more fun to drive, and since they just came out and people have just barely gotten theres, they are having fun

the higher displacement eats more gas, but im sure you could reach 21mpg too.
either way, i dont see you have a right to whine if you willingly buy this car.

if you want mpg, buy a prius.
if you want a fun, fast, torquey car, get a c63.

i drove an m3, and boy is that ***** lacking low end torque like a mother.
got back into my 335i and breathed a sigh of relief as i felt my torque.

please read the post
that mileage is pretty much the best possible gas mileage a M3 can get.

Please do not compare it with an average fuel economy.

My SLK55R gets better average gas mileage than 21. If anything my guess is that the C63 and the M3 have very close average fuel economy.

Btw if you really are concerned about a couple points ... get a different car.
