GT Speed
This picture is low quality, so I will try to find some better ones. It shows the '08 Continental GT Speed I took delivery of yesterday.

About 14 months ago I bought a Continental GT (non-Speed) and I thought it was a great car. Sure it weighs some 5200 pounds and it has less no where near the power the CL65 I had, but the GT is such a great touring car. This last winter I threw the Bentley winter rim/tire combo and that thing was better in the snow then my new GL550! Overall I was very impressed with the Continental GT. So when I read about the New GT Speed I ordered one. It has 48 more horsepower and 74 more ft-lbs, it also has huge carbon ceramic brakes and weighs 200 pounds less the regular GT.
I only got it yesterday and I am trying to break it in properly so no full throttle yet
but I love it so far, it has the turned aluminum in place of the wood on the dash which looks really cool and it has the diamond quilted stitch seats which are part of the mulliner driving specification package available on the regular GT. The steering is much, much more precise then on the standard GT, which is no slouch itself. It also has a few new upgrades like the bluetooth is much better and it has a backup camera....
So far I love it!

yeah i have been thinking about aftermarket rims but i think im gonna wait a few months. I had the windows tinted to the legal limit (20% or something) but most likely by the end of the summer I will have double the legal limit for the tint and i will throw some chrome rims on it
any specific rims you think might look good?

Here are some HREs. The're not a drastically different look. Visually the're a bit simpler and the spokes have a little more weight visually. Also I think the simple muscular curves of the spokes complement the simple muscular curves on the car nicely. My preference leans toward the HRE B53s which has the fewer spokes. The other on is the HRE B59. Cheers.

Thanks a lot, those are two great options... I have actually seen the ones with the fewer spokes on one of my colleague's Bentleys. He has a silver Continental GT, it really looks great.
Anyway, thanks a bunch

Hey eTown, your car has more stature historically. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Hans D. and everyone else w/ track cars. It'd be interesting to see find out time differentials at the various tracks. I'd love to hear you compare and contrast the 7GT3 to the C63 for example.

theyre rinspeed c5-1 monoblocks in titanium finish -
it was a no brainer imo when i was shopping for rims - sporty and not too "blingy" for a rover...
i ordered them from jonari in Cali ... 5500 shipped with tpms and toyo proxe tires, 22x10...
they will be for sale some time in fall/winter if anyone here is interested --i beleive they fit on the q7 as well
