Just recently, we had a warranty claim denied due to "tire rubber" on the inside fender wells of the car proved abuse of the car.
I can't imagine why anyone would smoke the tires on a Mercedes. The company certainly frowns on this type of abuse of these machines right?
Dealers are just scum sometimes. Kinda make up the rules as they go along.

Tire Rubber on the fenders has always raised eyebrows and thats because they usually associate that with Drag Racing at the track. Still don't know why it would matter, but I have seen first hand a dealer give a Mustang Cobra owner problems because of "rubber" on the rear fenders.

Funny you guys mention rubber on the fender wells. I got mine back from the dealer today (had check engine light at 60 miles and had to take it back!) and I felt underneath for any "evidence" of tech joyrides -- none there. I figure the car can take whatever they're giving. I have over 200 miles now... and although I've been following break-in, I'm not going to putt around as much now...

ya....am gonna lay off the burnouts n etc until after 3,000 just to be safe. It says to drive the car in Comfort mode till then aswell so I think thats what I will do.

"Shows how Steel Grey can look different in different light. " -- Yes, When I first saw SG, under full sun next to a palladium silver car, I felt there was the slightist of purple/blue added to the color mix. I hadn't picked that up in any of the pics posted so far, until yours.

ok, I changed my mind. I can't help it right now and the car has almost 150 miles so I will wait till 1,000 miles before i go a lil crazy lol.

I'm pretty sure that anything you do to the engine that isn't done by the MB dealer service center voids the warranty. I really wanted to change the intake on my C230 but was advised by my leasing agent and dealer (they are friends of mine so they didn't care if I did it or not) to not do so.
