at 1200 I believe its time for that first service

Change oil/filters

Also try removing the charcoal airfilters, that should give you an extra 10-20 HP that you've been missing

IMO,you should have had more restraint during break-in&not beat on it.

1000mi service is for a simple check-up it does not call for oil/filter replacement. However, since I did not lease my car&wanted to get plenty of hard miles out of it I had them change the oil/filter@900miles for my own peace of mind.It runs pretty good so far

Forget putting the trans in manual.Unless you practice for 8hrs everyday you will be hard pressed to shift the car by yourself at redline each time.Put it in sport&let the car shift itself. Also, put the suspension on the softest setting, this will help your 60' a bit.

What day did you go to englishtown? Was it this past friday when it was almost 90 outside&humid??

You can remove the charcoals, but don't expect 20hp on the C63.More likely 8-10 if that. The car has a different intake which does not flow as much as the other 63's which in theory won't give you the same potential airflow w/out the charcoals in place

"S" mode on the trans;may be different on the C but what i'm sayin is let the car shift itself vs. you doing it.It's faster that way

...I don't know if this is true but JGSX (you here?) said the PNs on the "Airbox" and "Manifold) presumably intake manifold, are the same on the E63. This was somewhere in a E55/63 thread.

...Vadim, apparently well respected in the MB tuner world (I'm new to MB and AMGs), also posting elsewhere, implied the exhaust headers was restrictive.

I'm hoping the're a few points that are more restrictive than others w/ regards to engine breathing.
