please tell me the fuel cap cover is not plastic on the AMG C63

on my E63 the door is metal like the rest of the car....glad its not plastic....not that it totally makes a difference other then its my preference.
Never heard of gas door rusting...never seen that on any car I have EVER owned.

Yes, its a composite fiberglass material as I previously said. A lot of car makers are now doing this as a way to save weight, improve fuel efficiency, and this has no impact on structural rigidity or safety.

LOL... I know we all love the little details of our cars but the whole plastic vs. metal fuel cover... come on now! Does it work? Yes. So what does it matter?
