this thread is the sh#t man I dont care what people say I like the way you think it has nothing to do about the money, its the principle here. I think the exact same way. Everyone in my family would have done the same thing and even been out more money just to prove a point to this guy.
Awesome to all the guys that helped you get it back. Good going on all the legal measures as well hopefully that will prevent someone else from getting ripped off in the future.
The people that think oh well take your loss and go to a reputable dealer, its that thought process and mentality, that scammers thrive. They know that $1000, while its alot of money to some people, not so much someone looking for this particular car and would think of it a waste of time to try and get it back. thats how they work and thats what they hope you think.
If everyone was like you being im sure scammers would be in extinctionan endangered species. But once again man, good work. Im impressed and im sure the thief is too

I've just become a victim of Mr. Andrew David Camp. I gave him over $6,000 and it has been over 2 months and I have no car, no money not even a phone call. Emperior if you can email me at greg@uglytuna.net. I have some question for you. Or if anyone can help me out.

My story is as follows; A good friend of mine bought a Ranger Rover about 6 months ago from Mr. Camp and he gave him all the troubles that I was getting from him. Yet in the end he received his automobile. So if it was for my friend getting a great deal and getting his car I would never done business like this. Maybe back then he wasn't scamming. I found this thread via Google and hoping I can get my money back like Emperior did. I know its a hard lesson learned but all I care about is recouping my money. If you can help please email me..

You all should have called your states Attorney General. They love dealing with people like this. That is why you pay taxes. Call your state office and file a complaint, within a week or two you should have complete justice. Doing this is free, there is no need to go to small claims, or call the BBB. You also wouldn't have to call local police or need to struggle tracking him down. Atleast that is what I would have done, here in Connecticut. Just my two cents.

What a crazy thread!
This thread is just too much! I'm from over in the W210 E55 section (but i really don't say much i just read a lot, soon to post my dual exhaust conversion for the W210) and was just browsing the c63 section and started reading this. It's starts with LE crying out for help about being ripped off but then turns to him being "under investigation" for making the entire thing up. But then we have GENERAL CAR/MOTOR (I forget which one, car or motor, but anyways) coming in saying that he has contact information for this Direct Lease guy and has a group of "...men..." as he put it. Then a few other random, probably insignificant people, because they are probably just LE, chime in and LE is more or less the first to acknowledge them and thank them for coming forward to put this terrible Mr. Camp out of business. I'm not saying anything but haha! Too good. Oh and if this is all real and I have totally over looked something, then Mr. Camp you sound like a pathetic man with no friends who sits in dark rooms because you can't deal with seeing the emptyness(how do you spell it?) around you.
