C63 GUIDE TO SERVICE

so ive been on this forum for about a month now and have learned ALOT!
i appreciate how cool, friendly, and helpfull ppl r here.

in anycase, i wanted to know if some of the "more knowledgable" guys on here can give me some advice about servicing the car and what not

i think i heard MB say that you should bring the car in at the 1000 mile mark

but i also heard, you should change the oil between the first 300-500 miles on the car to prevent some sort of build up

then again at 1000-1500 or so

and then once again shortly after?

is this overkill, or sound advice

also, since my 63 will have the LSD, ive heard you should change the differential fluid on that as well rather quickly

and lastly, ive heard ppl saying you should change the tranny fluid rather quickly as well

any truth to these things?

i was hoping someone can give some insight on the major services, and things us new owners should do to better the car

When you finally get a car & become a new owner they will explain it all to you.
Or go sign up with StarTek and download the operators manual.

hahah yes

ive never heard that term before

but in the context we where using it made the most sense

OBVIOUSLY, i will read the book...

but im referring to the little extra things that many of this forums members do

for example, the book is not gonna say get your first oil change at 500 miles

or remove your charcoal filters, or things like that

you ask a lot of questions.
i think i can safely say 90% of the question threads in the c63 forum are all from you.

u dont HAVE to change the oil at 300-500. only if ur **** and/or you own the car.

which you dont, since u leased.

therefore, u should just drive it, and not worry about things like that.
