Adding wheel width?
I'd appreciate feedback from members on increasing the wheel width on the C63. I'd like to go to 19". Thinking that going to 9 at the front and 10 or 10.5 at the back.
While I think more rubber will help all around, are there any negatives I'm not aware of?
Also, in adding that much width to the rear, would I need to add arch extensions to stop the wheels from protruding too far outside? (I think in Europe they actually have to use a small extension piece on the rear side of the rear arch to satisfy their DOT (equivalent) requirements).
Welcome thoughts and comments on this. Thanks in advance.

You should be talking to a tire shop. Cus it depends on the rim you want to put on and the off set of the rims. So you have to find a rim you like or find out what rims you can put on if you want the width more so. For example if you want deepdish rims your tires will stick out alot with 10.5 on the back. But I dont know for sure and I would recommend having the shop put some rims on for you to see how it looks and sits. They shouldnt have a problem helping if your buying from them.

The other thing to remember is that it can aquaplane more in the wet with wider tyres, it also effects mileage etc.
It will be good to know what is the max without modifying the car, I think that the bullit has 10.5's on the rear - but not sure if they have modded the guards.

What do you think of these? Thinking 8.5x20 up front and 10x20 in the rear.
