Glad I could bring some laughter to these forums... I saw a S550 "AMG" today on the way to work. I just don't get it. Putting fake badges on your car is right up there with wearing a toupet or wearing those risers in your shoes to make you taller...

I almost feel better when I have people ask me if I have a C32 or "an AMG" and I tell them "No, it's just a C230". I like the debadged look, its cleaner and just goes to show that badges aren't everything... Whatever, enough ranting. To each their own...

I even keep seeing Range Rover Sport HSE's with supercharged badges stuck on them too. Strange that my '08 Rabbit blows them off the road (0-60 in 7.8 - not bad for $16,000 brand new!! Can get 4 more or my C63 - yeah, ok) - that badge surely makes them much faster.

I've seen 2 C63 in Orange County. Very nice looking.

And 1 "POSER"! It was an obvious C350 with 6.3 and AMG badges.
I was at a red light in my Carrera. Rolled down my window. He rolled down his window expecting me say "nice car". Instead I said "let's see what it'll do".
He said, "It's brand new, can't race it yet". What a joke

I don't think he knew that I knew he was a fake.
How did this guy get these badges? Can they be bought at the dealer (service/parts)?

I saw one in Halifax, it was in Costco's parking lot. Too bad it was not on, I really wanted to hear the engine's sound.

I live in Bethesda, MD and have an 09 on order. No build date yet but I am going to do European delivery and was told to be prepared to head to Germany in the first week of October! I have yet to see one at a dealer or on the road. I hope it lives up to the hype.

I have seen 3 in the San Fernando Valley a white one and a black one on the 118 freeway and the 3rd black one on the Hospital parking lot, all look very nice

I think I saw one merge into traffic about a block or two ahead of me today. At first, from far away I thought it was a C350 but then I saw the quad pipes... As expected he took off with his 451 horses, so I never really got a chance at a closer look.

Desperate plea to all C63 owners: If you see a fellow MB driver, slow down so we can check out your car!!!

I saw one ahead, a silver one. I took a shortcut and we rejoined on the same road. Meeting at the next light we were able to exchange and few words. It is great to see another car in the 'hood and even better to hear what they sound like driving away, hubba, hubba! .
