Beside the weight factor that 20's add, don't forget about potholes. In PA, you would loose atleast one a year to our fine tax dollars at work on our lovely roads here. For the street, daily driver, I would NEVER consider 20's, IMHO

+1, exactly why I am going with 18's. If I get the rims now, I can use the same tires that are on my rims right now.
A buddy of mines got 20's on his CLS and has three bent lips now. No thanks! Even the guys at Discount Tire and Butler Tire here in Atl said that 20's are beautiful, but your lips are exposed. When they are exposed they get banged. 18's give much more cushion.
Here's two options i'm considering.One is called the AV5 which is available 19" or 20",i like the 20".The other is a 19" OEM replica wheel.Tyres will probably be Falken 452's 235/30F 255/30R.Do you think i'll defnately need to respring it to look good?
