I DID IT! Deposit Reservation on a 2009 C63 AMG
HI-YA!
Well, after a few weeks of research and trying to figure out where to get the funds, I put down my reservation deposit today on the C63 (rocket). I'm ordering the car from a CALI dealer and then having it trucked over to AZ. This was best for me because I really can't afford to lose the tax benefits of buying a new car. It's my understanding that I wouldn't be able to drive the car in CALI unless I get is licensed/registered there. I live in AZ so that made no sense to me. So I'll have it trucked over and I'll get some money back in April 2009.
I ordered a Palladium Silver on Black with Black Maple Wood Trim.
Options include:
iPod
Premium Pkg
Multimedia Pkg
AMG Performance Pkg
AMG Leather Pkg
Price comes to $71879
I got 5% off of MSRP!!
I would love to hear y'alls comments on that price.
Delivery should be sometime mid to late November. Just in time for Turkey Day I hope:-)
Thanks to everyone on this forum for their inputs. You all really helped me with this decision. I'll stay in touch and advise on the process over the next couple of months. And of course, when my baby arrives, I'll have pics for you all to drool over.

That comes to $66,709.
After tax it comes to $71,878.
That is what i'm paying.
Do you think that's a good deal?

Ahhh, okay, didn't know you had included tax. Yes, 5% off MSRP is a great discount. I'm paying sticker for mine as there aren't really any other choices other than ordering out of state (and I'm doing a trade, so that becomes complicated).

But had $8700 "market mark-up". Good luck selling that one.
