Factory AMG C63 Wheels Chromed for $1193
My dealer just told me I can have the factory AMG wheels chromed for $1,193
I'm thinking about doing it. Wifey even said the car should have chromes.
Just want y'alls opinion on the price.
They would be chroming the 18" AMG 5-spoke light alloy wheels that come standard with the C63.

Always a matter of personal taste but seeing as you asked: DO NOT DO IT.
Would totally destroy the cache of the car and turn it into some sort of pimp mobile. What is wrong with a little bit of subdued class - which the car currently has in spades?? Personally i could not think of anything worse. irrespective of the body colour you have.

I'm getting old...
I'm only 39, but I LOVE chrome. Maybe because I can totally appreciate the older cars, but I've thought the same thing.
I was actually going to look at just having the raised edges of the 5 spokes polished along with the lip to give it a little more pop...

Hey man do what you feel....i had my doubts about my wheels before they came and when they arrived i was shocked as to how good they looked i get compliments on the car all the time from the dealer to people walking by. i don't have a performance car by any means but its about what you like and im a very picky guy when it come to mods, rims etc.

Chrome wheels just don't look performance oriented and bad *** like the OEM ones that come with the AMGs.. chrome gives the message of P-Diddy is in da house more than anything else..

My dealer said he would chrome the OEM AMG Wheels for $1,193. I thought that was a little spendy but I wanted some feedback from the "team."

Here is a photo of wheels on a CLK63. I purchased the car used. Original owner bought the car from Fetcher Jones Newport. Do not know price of option. IMHO,everyone eyes are different, make your own decision, not someone else's view point.
