Can't afford the Bullit, here's a Brabus for U
Here is a teaser news report from Autoweek, on the new Brabus B63.
http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl...8/newsletter01
For a mere $12,000 you can pick up some ponies and MPH.
Sure beats spending nearly a half mil on the BULLIT.

There are mixed feelings regarding the Brabus 63
Some feel it should have a more, I agree

Not sure what spec C63 you guys get elsewhere in the world.
I am in South Africa and here our C63 comes with 336kw an 600nm of torque.
You can take your C63 into the local AMG conversion centre and for
a mere R6250.00 or U$800 you can have the S63 software map loaded
on which gives you 386kw and 630nm of torque.
And your motorplan warranty is not affected because it is Mercedes Benz
approved.
Much more feasible than going the Brabus route.
I guess if the gains on the Brabus 63 were much greater it would be a different story.

I was applying this concept to the word "mere", as in $12,000.
That is an awful lot of bank for 73 hp and 37 lbs of tourque.

That would be a no-brainer for me. Get the C63 on par with it's fellow 63's and keep the warranty. Other folks on this board said it can't be done, and I asked a Service Manager too who agreed.
Not sure of the reliability of either sources though...any thoughts from other sources? Can someone ask the AMG guys?

That's interesting. I've talked to mine AMG dealer(Hong Kong) before placing the order that they will not do any mods whatsoever after the car arrive. I guess they have a different policy in South Africa.
