Lowering options...

Just curious if anyone knows of any options available for lowering the C63?

So far I'm aware of the KW V3 coilover kit that is made specific to our car, but other than that I don't know of anything else, not even springs?

I know several people have used C350 springs on the C63 such as H&R, which I've considered doing. But I'm afraid of using springs not specific to our vehicle, and also using springs which our shocks were not intended for. Can anyone shed some light on this? I also don't want to the car to end up like a pogo stick over bumps and dips in the road.

Thanks!

i just picked up a '09 c63 and was wondering what were the lowering options as well. i wanted to know if there were any fully adjustable lowering systems, i guess similar to the adjustable ride height systems that mercedes offers on other classes.

I am looking into the same thing, thats why I'm not so interested in suspension in the PP. I will also look into the KW's but I think that Bilstein or H&R should or will have something for us current and future C63 drivers.

H&R have C63 spring, below is the product code.

29028-1 Mercedes Benz C-class C63 AMG , Typ 204 + 204K
color black, lowering [mm] 20, year: ab: 2008 Appro

Mine just arrived last week, but I can't fit it to my car because I am running 19X10 with 285/35/19 tyres in the rear and it rub a little bit.

I talked to Eibach Spings yesterday and they said no springs for the C63 yet. Should be coming soon though.

Thanks ZO for pointing that out. I missed it because the U.S. site does not list them yet. So judging by the description it lowers the car by 20mm? I was hoping at least a 25-30mm drop, especially since some of the C300-350 guys have said to go with the more aggressive H&R spring since the car does not look lowered with 20mm.? I think I could go lower too, since I'm running 265/30/19 in the rear.

Did you have any chance to see how the car sat when you installed them, or test drive, or did you discover the rubbing issue right away?

Btw, how are those KW V3 coilovers MNL_ICE? Any noticeable difference in handling and/or ride quality? Thanks!

I discover it before I put them on.

What you are saying is right 20mm isn't a lot, but if I will you I will get what MNL_ICE got because the height is fully adjustable, if you notice the gap in the front is more than in the back. And I think it would be nice to adjust the lowering height a bit more in the front than in the back the make the gap look even front and rear I think it will look much nicer. But at a cost $$$$

I don't think so with the stock offset. The wheel I got is two piece forged with custom offset to the max to full out the wheels arch so it rub.
