2008 Audi TT 3.2 6MT Coupe, 2008 VW R32
Good Deal or Bad Idea...

Hey Fellas, i am new here to the forums, and Merc's in general. I am coming over from a long line of Audi's and VW's. So here is my situation. please take a second to read this.

I have debated over the new M3 and the C63 for the longest time, and after dozens of visits to the dealership i am going with the 08' C63. but...

The car new here in the US is 68,550 for black on black, with black maple wood, and no PP. Plus i have 8,000 of negative to roll over from my 2008 TT.

The good news is this... They have a barely used (288 miles) 2009 C63 that is black on black with black maple WITH the PP, in the body shop. Someone had purchased the car, and 3 days later got his front bumper torn off by someone who ran a red light. He traded in the car, and bought another one (must be nice) there is no strutual damage at all, just the bumper, the grille, the impact beam, the air pump, and a fog light have to be replaced. They are going to discount the car almost 14,000 dollars from sticker. PLUS... its used so it will be a cretified preowned, so the warranty will be 5 yr. 100,000 miles, and all my negative equity will roll in and disappear (to the bank).

The only downside, kinda, is that is may show a carfax report as a front end collision repair, but i plan to keep the car as a show car, so resale is not really an issue.

All comments and experiences are welsome, thanks guys.

I think you just answered your own question

Go for it, and dont forget to post the picts of before and after the project!

PS : I also used to be an Audi Fan, nice car, but too "mild" or Timid for my taste

well of course i do plan on tracking the car here and there... and the occasional weekend azz whoopin on a few locals. i am hoping for forced induction availability in a a year or so. im tired of buying cars that you cant build or parts are so rare that you cant afford em (cough cough HPA Motorsports!!). 600 ponies is my goal so i guess we'll see. I will definatly add pics as we go. thanks for the input.

C350 4Matic
You are 8K backwards and get a 14K break on this car. You already know teh complete details of the accident and also know it was no big deal. Sounds like the right car to me, go for it.

2009 C63 AMG Black on Black PP Package CF fully loaded
Sounds like a great deal, I'd also say go for it.... does the car have the complete PP package or the Botched package? if you don't know you should ask.
