KW Variant 3 suspension question.
KW Variant 3 suspension question
To all those members who have the KW Variant 3 coilover kit installed on your car. I would like to know how the ride feels compared to the stock AMG suspension. I would also like to know how your kit is set up, i.e. the KW factory recommended settings or something different? If you could, please describe the steering feel, compression, rebound and ride height compared to the stock suspension. Had a Variant 1 kit on my 2007 BMW 335i, which I sold to get the C63, and I was quite satisfied with the performance. I will take factory delivery of my car at the end of October and would like to know how you feel about this kit. I ordered the performance package mainly for the LSD and compound brakes. The reviews of the PP suspension almost all say that it is too hard. I also realize that very few people have the PP and understand that comparing it to the stock suspension is not really the ideal situation, but any experiences you have will surely help me to decide. Thanks a lot.

I have KW's on my 05 C55 and the ride is STIFF. It turns like a roach with Nike's
but damn they are stiff. If I had to do it again I would get HR's springs and some Koni shocks. I have V2's BTW. They were given to me by a friend that turned in his lease just when I was gonna buy a new set for me. They look new and they are built FORD tuff lol. Or maybe I'm just getting old.

I have the KWv3's...I left the dampening on the stock settings and lowered the car on 19" AMG wheels..The ride is very smooth, but I need to adjust the rebound in the rear by 2 clicks and the front by 1...I love the KW's..if you plan on keeping your car...there is no other way to go...you can not just swap out shocks/struts and springs...either you do Coilovers..or dont do anything at all.

My C63 is an 09..but I did not have the PP suspension. Even at that, the ride was stiff. It's a sports car..it's not meant to be easy on the ***....The KW suspension is much smoother and the car feels connected to the road a lot better than stock..They are 16 way dampening adjustable..so to say they are stiff???..depends on the setting..lol Yes you do need to remove the rear panels to adjust the dampening..the front ones are easy..just open the hood and insert the allen key.
