Window Tint and Self Dimming Rear View Mirror
I am considering installing Formula 1 tint (50% or 35%) on my C63 but would like to know if anyone who has tint has had trouble with the self dimming rear view mirror after having the tint installed. I am aware that if the tint is too dark the mirror will no longer work. Thanks for any input!

I have 18% which is a lot darker that yours.... the only issues I have is at night with a car behind you and the auto dimmer goes off I can barely see out the back and drivers side mirror because the car is trying to compensate... I used to put my thumb over the sensor in the mirror and then I could see ALOT better. My solution was to put a small chrome sticker over the sensor in the mirror, effectively defeating the unit. I have the reverse camera system so backing up is no problem.... see post https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/262634-diy-rear-camera-install-w-pics-centered-location.html
I think with 35 and 50% you’ll be fine....

Thanks for the replies. I had Formula 1 tint on a previous car and had no issues until my M3. I do not know what brand tint the M3 had but the mirror did not work at night and the tint was not dark enough to keep the headlights from other cars from being annoying. Just wanted to make sure as to the C63.
