Agreed that PenFed.org is a terrific way to go. I'm kicking myself for paying cash just last week for my Porsche 997 C2S Cab, when I can borrow @ 3.99%. Oh well, there is intangible value in outright ownership as well.

Another good one is Navy Federal Credit Union. Same type of experiance as what I'm reading about PenFed. I use Navy Federal because they do have local branches to me. Applied online for $100K, got approved, picked up an "open check" at the branch that says "Not to exceed $100K" 4 hours later, drove to the dealer, picked the car, and filled out the check for the total of $72K or so. Drove off with the car an hour later. NFCU then mailed me the actual loan docs with the payment being for what I wrote the check for. Rate is 4.75%, 60 months.

Not to brag but up here in Canada, I got 3.4% from Mercedes and my own bank is gonna give me 2.9%. It's really unbelievable at this point in time. Sad to say but this is the perfect time for anyone to buy big ticket items like homes and big cars.
