So it was raining tonight in SD....And I went to my car like 30 min ago to get my laptop cord so I can do some homework...I saw my car wet I was like ok it's just water that leaked into the apt garage...I looked closer and I see white spots on the car I was like WTH!!! I immediatly moved my car, and tried to wipe off as much of it as I can but it's friggin like stuck on to the paint and I had to scrub.![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)

Get it detailed ASAP - sounds like the white stuff is LYME that seeped through the concrete in your apt garage. Bad news - lyme will strip paint very quickly. Take pictures and contact your bldg manager.
Sorry dude.

Go get a Meguiars Clay Bar from Walmart or Target. Same thing happened to my F430 in my old condo garage. Hadn't moved the car in a few weeks during a snow storm and the snow runoff from cars on the upper level drained through the ceiling onto the car. Left white blotches that appeared to come off when the car was washed and wet but reappeared once the paint was dry. The Clay Bar requires some elbow work but it's the quickest DIY way to get if off.

im a detail salesman and man if you would have waited it would have been bad news. We had a new i mean new 330ci i think come in a few weeks ago with what she thought was tree sap. well after she told us that she parked it in the hospital parking ramp we knew we were in for it. Probably a good 40% of the car was covered in this stuff and we were not able to get it all off. she had been parking this car there for a couple of months. she had the hospitals insurance fighting with her own automobile insurance. good thing your got it off

Everyone should have there cars detailed with mutable layers of show car polish for maximum paint protection for disasters like all of the story's above... Good Luck!

Clay bars work the best for this level cleaning you need to do.
Dove wash it (dove dish soap)
clay it with detailing spray and
then wax it.
I have gone to Walmart in my Porsche GT3. I live in a small town and we
dont have much choice

Actually, taking a clay bar (from Meguiar's or something similar) to your car is one of the most satisfying and, strangely, therapeutic things you can do on a Sunday afternoon. I had a lot of tree sap on my car from the past summer, and washing it normally doesn't get that stuff off. Detailers and people who regularly wash their own cars will know what I'm talking about.
So you buy yourself a good quality detailing kit, and it usually comes with a clay bar and some sort of liquid detailing solution, and yes, it takes about an hour to really do a thorough job of applying the liquid and the clay bar to the entire surface of the car, but DAMN, the results are amazing. Your arms and fingers will be sore as anything for a while, but the finish of the car is glass smooth if you've done it right. It's like making your car all new again! I'd recommend this to anyone who's as picky as probably most of us are about their cars' cleanliness.
