Are you happy with the interior material quality?

NICE Job. Almost makes you want to curl up and take a nap...LOL. Very easy on the eyes. I like a lot.
Got these shots from a post by LEOBARTZ on this forum back in July. Car at AMG showroom. This is the kind of look i am after but with a Charcoal stitch.
Should have a quote tomorrow or Monday and will let you know.
Again....NICE Job!!!

I would have done it but I have various windshield antennaes that would have made the job iffy.

The guy quoting on the job has been doing custom work since 1975 and has helped develop some pretty nice Marine leather products that have a UV inhibitor/protectant used in the tanning process. He has recommended against the Alcantara as well and claims his treated Nappa will stand up. So leather it is if the price isn't too crazy.

its the same plastic that was in my 130K 911 GT3. Do you want performance or leather. Go to Victoria secret if you want lace. Seriously go look in ANY 911 GT3 without the leather package.
And the SEATS?? The Seats in my AMG are better than the ones in my GT3

I hear that. My wife finally caught on to why I have been coming back from the grocery store with things missing from the list...LOL

I have to say that the C class interior materials expecially the dash and door panels are something out of a dodge neon. I was seriously dissappointed. I was thinking it would have been a little closer tot he quality of my E55.
Ive sat in the C63 and M3. the materials used in the M3 are slightly better quality

96 and 08 911 turbos
Like I said, if all I wanted was pure performance a slightly used Z06 would fulfill that need.

if that is truly the case (which could be true if you mean the 996), that would be very disappointing as well.

But you have to expect that when you buy a world class performer at this price range. You cant have it all. I have a 72K X5 4.8is and its just the same kind of plastic on the dash. My wife drives a 08 335. Same stuff. out of the three cars the AMG is as good if not better than the others.
in fact the seats are best in the AMG and the Nav center is better in the AMG
Honestly if they gave this car a better interior then it would be better than the
CLK etc etc. It already out performs the E class as it is.

at first, i thought my c63 had better quality interior than my buddy's m3.
however, after a few hours sitting in his m3 for a road trip. I started to believe his m3 has better quality material than my c63. im talking about material quality, i still like my c63 interior layout than my buddy's m3's.

It's not cheap...if done right. I was contemplating on getting my dash done in Alcantara but I've moved away from it because of fading issues. I got quoted over 2 grand to just do the dash and over 4K to do just the seat inserts front and back.
The guy who did my headliner, rear deck, A pillars, and trunk was top notch and was expensive but it was worth it...just expect to pay $$$. You can practically do anything to your interior (I changed from burlwood to piano black and gray headliner to black Alcantara)...you just need some patience and a bit of juice.

The C63 interior is of high quality with the exception of the cheap-looking plastic door lock pins.
Anyone know if Brabus etc. provides something of higher quality?

Hmmm....
I like the carbon fiber part, but the enamel AMG logo reminds me of something made in China.
Brabus makes them in aluminum with an engraved "B" which will work for me...
