"Check Brake Pad Wear" - This message just popped up on my car the other day and now comes up everytime I drive it. The car has 5,000 miles on it. How is it possible that I already need to replace my brake pads? I've never tracked the car and don't drive it hard all of the time ...

Also - my tires are totally shot! @ 5,000 miles?! This is rediculous! Putting winter tires on now anyway ... but when spring comes around - no way I'm going with the Pirellis again ... way too soft.

What do you guys think?

Could just be a faulty sensor. I'd get it checked out though, see if the pads are actually worn. If not, the sensors are cheap at the dealership

my conti tyres were shot at 4100miles so your pirellis have done well. Looks like this is the downside of running: this car.

Wouldn't change it though!!!
