OP, you're mad if you're thinking of trading an M5 for a C63, but if that's really your line of thought, than on behalf of all other M5 owners, good riddance, give the thing to someone who'll appreciate it.

These are rare cars, they should be owned by people who will love and care for them.

Look what I started , I was just thinking out loud. I suspect if I got the 63 I would want the M5 and so on forever and endless loop. I do appreciate the car but as I said it's one of those the grass is always greener things , well to me anyways.
RAV4's have 14" rotors? Damn Toyota must be killing it out there. My brakes have never faded once and I drive the hell out of my car. Panic stops from 150+ just to see what would happen. Nice try troll but you have no experience with the M5 and should keep your obvious animosity for BMW's to yourself.

a three year old M5 versus a new C63... tough call.
I love the M5 and it was up against my purchase of the C63... I could have gotten better monthly lease charge versus my loan charge on the 63 for the M5.
But - one turn over of the key, a quick drive and I forgot all my roundel loyalty.
You're right grass is always greener.. Try this angle on...
The 63 is tighter in the interior. It's more of a driver's car than the M5 from a cabin perspective. All BMW did was slap on some red/blue/purple threads and bits and pieces. Benz put in some serious seating, on the other hand. This makes the workplace (cockpit) a bit different between the two.
Heck, you may sit down in the 63 and not fit in the seats - on the other hand, they may be like gloves and you won't want to leave.
Let us know how this ends up!

the most important thing in braking are tires the wider the tire the more surface area you have to stop. BMW might have one or two less pistons but their tires are always wider!!!

If you're a drag strip kinda guy, then the C63 will better suit your needs. Here is an M5 with headers, exhaust, Dinan TB's, engine tuning, and a 3.91 LSD. It ran an 11.9 at a hair below 120...with a 1.8 and change 60' time.

MHP with just a tune, air box, and drag radials laid down an 11.6 also at a hair below 120...with a 1.75 60' time. Looking at the trap speeds, the lightly modded 63 will hang even with the more modified M5. Once a full exhaust is installed onto the C63...M5's will face some trouble in a straight line.

So if it is drag racing you want, then go with the C63...as it is a better choice. But if you want a more balanced top-end screamer...stick with your M.

Your worst nightmare...
You could always send that M5 to ASR...it is capable of doing mid 11's with a good launch and trap easy 125+, of course on the bottle.
Here it is...this car I think belongs to M5Ranger...modded to the teeth..
