The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Porsche community decided that Chevron with the detergents is the best for high performance motors.
) until someone suggested 76. Changed to 76 and felt a little difference in performance (could be placebo effect
).
Don't know the pricing because they don't quote over the phone.

And also question...like 90% of gas stations only provide up to 91 octane does it make a difference? I know it says on the gas cover min. 93 octane...is it bad for the car, especially since if we live in CA we really don't have a choice?

I heard that the engine is modified a little for CA drivers because of the 91 octane max...true?
for all of you in dallas, like myself.
i get all my gas in a town called Cresson, it's about 15 miles SW of Fort Worth. Yes it is far, BUT it is the ONLY gas station anywhere around DFW (maybe North Texas for that matter) that sells ethanol-free gas.
you may have heard of the place, its a Texaco called the Finish Line, located at the entrance to Motorsport Ranch.
i know some of you may have been there because a few weeks ago i watched a lot of MBs having a kick butt track day.
they have 93 unleaded(same price you will find most anywhere)
100 unleaded--around 7.60-8.00 per gallon
109 unleaded-- around 9 per gallon
119 leaded--obviously not for us
just an FYI. i go down there once every couple weeks and fill up my car plus an additional 20 gallons in reserve tanks, so i dont have to make that trip every week.
the performance difference between the ethanol and the ethanol-free gas is night and day, as i am sure some of you know.
In my Porsche ownership days (RIP), my locak P-car experten, recommended a bottle of Techron in the tank every 2-months or so to clean the old girl out. I have done that for most cars since with no ill results.
