I used UPS - i was out of the office and it turned into a little of a gong show.
apparently if you declare any value over 200$ for insurance of electronic goods you have to fill out a FCC form.
I ended up sending warrenty service with 200 dec value - got therein 12 hours.
i wont give you a ride but ill let you try and keep up!

right - its not a big deal when you have the information...phoning UPS and saying you have a mercedes ECU to send to a tuner in the US is not gonna get you anywhere but on the wrong side of a bottle of rye.

Stefario and mthis,
when you get a chance can you guys described 8/10 shift firmness...
My c63 will be a DD, so I just want to know if its neck jarring, is it the same shift feeling between manual and sport mode, do you feel the shifts in your body or are they just quicker?
Thanks for the feedback

So with traction on, it doesn't go sideways in the rain if you slowly depress the gas pedal? Good thing it doesn't rain much here in Vegas. The reason I ask, it that I want to replace my wife's C320 with a C63 and tune it. It will be her DD and my weekend toy.

I got my Mhp tune about 500 miles ago its all that it's said to be and more I took andys advise off the bat and put the nitro dr's on, my shifts are set at 8/10 when it shifts at wot in m or s mode "not sure what the c
Mode was put there for" hits hard but nice my car is a daily driver and I think it's perfect for that. It handles fine in the rain as long as you take it easy, as for the dry the car handles well u still need to do rolling starts or feather it out of the hole... Any one in long island feel free to contact me to see what the car does...

We tell all our cusotmers the same thing as far as break-in procedure for their ECU/TCUs after tuning. 200 hard miles, the first 30-40 in manual mode, then switch to sport and hammer out another 160-170 miles. This initial period is critical to get the most performance out of your tuned ECU/TCUs.

i think the timing has to adjust, as well as the tcu, after so many miles it get faster and faster.

Me Neither - maybe it has something to do with a complete reset or purge of any cached data and then the harder you drive it the more it learns that style and hard codes it in - i am not a technical person.......

Long story short, the controllers (especially when doing TCU as well as ECU) need to learn. We eliminate 80%+ of the adaptive learning but certain things (fuel trims, etc) still need to be set. Which is again why we stress that in order to achieve max performance with our tuning the first 200 miles MUST be hard.
