174 MPH - Can a stock C63 go faster??
With the delimitter installed as an option, can a C63 go any faster? Does the car have a (Transmission/Rear) gearing ratio that stops it from going any faster. I can go 205 mph in my C6 ZO6 but it takes 540 RWHP to do it.
Thanks for the input.

The only "X factor" here I can imagine is the coefficient of drag of the new w204's - I haven't seen it published, but it likely isn't as good as the w203 or perhaps the w211. But if delimited modded C32's have pegged 180, I'd think Timeless is right on the money with his estimation.

I would guess a bone stock C63 should be good for 185 or so, you are going to need more than 450 hp to get it moving any faster. There is a formula if you have the drag coeffient, whp, gear ratios and weight of the vehicle. Let's just put it this way, my Black Series is about the same weight as a C63 but made 57 more crank hp in stock form and I was able to bring it up to the 186 speed limiter with relative ease. 150 crank hp later and about 200 pounds lighter my car can not break 206mph. Granted my mods included a functional large rear wing and front diffuser which do not help in the top speed department. After 200mph the amount of HP required for just 1 mph increases in significant. For instance, there are 800-1000 hp Vipers and Vettes out there that can not break 220 mph.
I guess what I am saying is that a C63 would need very significant mods to join the 200mph club.
