Question RE all season tires

Just curious if what i am experiencing is normal for the type of tire i have put on my 63. I just had a set of all season goodyear eagle f1s put on (265 rear, 235 front) and i am feeling some steering wheel vibration between 80 and 90 mph. I am not sure if this is because they did not balance properly or its just the way the tires are? Never had all seasons. Thanks.

Tires could be out of alignment.
Tire or tires could have had tread delamination.
You could have had a poor balancing job on the wheels.

That isn't normal.

If it goes away after some miles after sitting for a couple of days, then your tires may be flat spotting. I had that issue with a set of Yokohama tires one.

If not, agree with the prior poster.

Good point. Didn't think of that one.

Vibration at speed isn't alignment, as a matter of fact, alignment issues generally don't cause vibration, out of balance does... Take the car to an alignment shop with a Hunter GSP9700 Road Force Balancer and have the tires Road Force Balanced, usually about $20 per wheel/tire... Discount Tires uses them at alot of shops but not all... Call ahead and ask... They balance the wheel/tire with a large roller which places road force on the tire... They must be under a certain amount of road force value to be considered balanced. If not, the machine tells the operator how to rotate the tire on the wheel to obtain the proper balance reading... If it can't be accomplished, the tire should be warrantied as defective... This method was the only way I could get 3 sets of Goodyear F2 GS-D3's balanced on my Vettes which vibrated at speeds above 95 MPH...
